Steps to Graduate

Graduation Audit
In order for your degree to be awarded, you need to have completed your required coursework and been given Literacy Education Information System (LEIS) clearance. Once these items are complete, your information is given to the Graduation Services, who will then audit your file.
You will be notified by email that you have been cleared to graduate within four to six weeks after we audit your file. Your transcript will be then be updated with your graduation status and you will receive a form to order your diploma.
If the graduation office tells you that you need an additional course, but your advisor told you that you were finished, it is possible that your education plan needs to be updated or that you need a course substitution. Schedule an appointment with your advisor to determine how that course requirement needs to be satisfied. Once that has been resolved, call your graduation analyst to let them know.

Adult High School: Get Your Diploma
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) prints high school diplomas. Graduation Services orders diplomas from CMS quarterly. Your diploma is mailed to the address listed in your MyCollege account — make sure this address is correct. Regardless of when you order your diploma, you will not receive it until at least eight weeks after Central Piedmont orders it from CMS.
If you are a past graduate or want to order additional diplomas, submit an adult high school diploma order form.
