Salute Veterans National Honor Society
The SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society chapter at Central Piedmont provides veteran students with a rewarding community of resources, opportunities, and support.
SALUTE recognizes the honorable service and scholastic achievements of veteran students. SALUTE stands for Service, Academics, Leadership, Unity, Tribute, and Excellence — which are the foundation blocks and core values of the honor society and is the basis of student success.
Benefits of Membership in SALUTE at Central Piedmont
The benefits of membership include:
- a certificate and military-style challenge coin commemorating membership
- access to unique scholarship opportunities, assistance with resumes, and engagement in local leadership positions
- opportunities to network, as well as receive and give assistance to fellow student veteran members
- wear SALUTE Honors regalia to demonstrate academic achievements as a veteran at graduation
- participate in local and national SALUTE programs
How to Join the Chapter of SALUTE at Central Piedmont
To be eligible to apply, veteran students must:
- have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and completion of six or more credit hours
- agree to abide by the SALUTE National Honor Society Executive Steering Committee guidelines
- submit unofficial transcripts with annotated GPA and a copy of military orders/DD-214 member-4 with Honorable Discharge
- pay a $45 student membership fee once your membership application has been reviewed and accepted
