Greater Charlotte Consortium

The Greater Charlotte Consortium (GCC) is a partnership among thirteen colleges and universities in the greater Charlotte area.

The Consortium exists to assist undergraduate, full-time, degree-seeking students in the Charlotte region to proceed toward graduation without interruption in their degree progression because of limited course availability on their home campuses. The Greater Charlotte Consortium is created and maintained by the participating institutions to expand the course options available to undergraduate degree-seeking students who are enrolled at the participating institutions.

The following institutions in the Greater Charlotte area are members of the consortium:

  • Belmont Abbey College
  • Central Piedmont Community College
  • Davidson College
  • Gaston College
  • Johnson C. Smith University
  • Johnson & Wales University (Charlotte Campus)
  • Livingstone College
  • Pfeiffer University
  • Queens University of Charlotte
  • Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
  • UNC Charlotte
  • Wingate University
  • Winthrop University

The Greater Charlotte Consortium (GCC) application is done completely online.  Electronic signatures allow the process to go much faster. Registration procedures at each institution may vary.
