Study Abroad in Ireland 2023: Culture and History

This program has been cancelled for Summer 2023 due to low enrollment. We plan to offer this study abroad again in the future.

Are you interested in questions of culture, justice, history, civil rights, environmental sustainability, mythology, and immigration?  This adventure is one of our summer abroad programs that will allow you to explore these and many other fascinating questions from the mountains and green fields of Ireland!  You will start in Dublin and travel to Donegal, on the Northwest coast of Ireland, where you will stay and journey out to visit nearby sites and attractions including Donegal O’Donnell Castle & Abbey, Fairy Bridges, Tullan Strand, Sliabh Liag Cliffs, Glencar Waterfall, Arranmore Island, and Derry City in Northern Ireland.  In this program you will have the opportunity to not only learn about a new culture and its ancient history, but also acquire a new perspective reflecting on American history and culture from a distance.
