How Your Payments are Made

  • Do not make payments in MyCollege while you are enrolled in the payment plan.

  • All your remaining payments will be automatically drafted electronically through credit card payment. Your payment is charged to a credit card each month, according to the schedule listed.

  • It may take up to 7 business days for your payment to be posted to your college account.

  • If your payment doesn't go through, you will be charged a $30 insufficient funds fee from Nelnet; your credit card company may charge additional fees if you're over your limit.

Payment Timing

  • The payment plan specifies the date each of your payments is drafted, but your credit card company determines when the payment actually comes out of your account.

  • Ask your credit card company how far in advance you should have funds available in your account to ensure your automatic payment goes through.

  • If a payment date falls on a weekend or banking holiday, the payment will be attempted the following business day.
