Orientation
Central Piedmont provides new student orientation to help you feel prepared for your new academic journey.
New Student Orientation
Orientation is a required enrollment step to help you navigate the college and decide which careers and programs interest you. New Student Orientation is completed online in Brightspace, the learning management system used for all courses at Central Piedmont. You'll learn about a variety of topics while also becoming familiar with Brightspace, so you know what to expect before your classes begin. All new students must complete Orientation online before meeting with an academic advisor and registering for classes.
Complete orientation online in Brightspace by logging in with your Central Piedmont username and password and selecting Enroll in Course.
Accessing Your Student Account
If you don’t know your username and password, you may need to activate your account or reset your password using our online tools. Also, be sure to set up DUO mobile for multifactor authentication.
It may take up to 24 hours for your Brightspace access to work once you activate your student account. If it has been more than 24 hours and you still cannot log in, please email us.
Orientation Encore
Once you have completed the online Orientation and registered for classes, sign up to attend an Orientation Encore. This is an optional, in-person event where you'll learn how to get prepared for the first day of class, meet and interact with other new students, and have an opportunity to go on a campus or program tour.
