Spring Corporate and Continuing Education Course Catalog

Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology

Coursework is designed to teach you how to work with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Course offerings vary across semesters.

Carpentry

Learn best safety practices for using tools and conducting quality work. Topics include hands-on, basic woodworking techniques; instruction in basic floor, wall, and ceiling framing; drywall installation and repair; base and wall trims; along with expanded hand and power tool instruction.

Electrical Contractor's Exam Review

Coursework prepares you for electrical state licensing exams. Those who are pursuing electrical contractor licenses will receive exam readiness and training.

General Contractor’s License Exam Prep

Coursework prepares you for either the residential or commercial contractor state licensing exams. Those who are pursuing residential or commercial contractor’s licenses will receive exam readiness and training.

Licensing and Code Qualification

Course listings under licensing and code qualification are for county building inspectors. Coursework consists of preparing for various levels of building inspection.

Masonry

Coursework will teach you to work with brick, stone, and other materials. Course offerings vary across semesters.

Plumbing Technology, Residential and Commercial

Train to pursue a career in residential or commercial plumbing. Coursework consists of industry standard safety protocols; tool usage; piping materials; fixture and equipment knowledge; blueprint reading; drain, waste, and vent (DWV) and water distribution system knowledge; hanger and support systems, as well as best installation and maintenance practices.

AWS Welding Certification and Testing

Central Piedmont is an American Welding Society (AWS) accredited testing facility that provides testing for both individuals and companies. The certified welder program is a performance-based program with no prerequisite courses or certifications required. Final certification will provide "transferrable" credentials. The certified welder program tests procedures used in the structural steel, petroleum pipelines, sheet metal, and chemical refinery welding industries.
