The Bridge to Careers Initiative is open to all applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity or have overcome educational or economic obstacles. An applicant’s commitment to diversity will be determined by the candidate’s actions such as extracurricular activities, involvement in community initiatives, etc.
Once you have applied to Central Piedmont, select the following link and then select "Apply" for the Bridge to Careers program to login and submit an application. It is highly suggested, but not required, to complete the FAFSA application.
Submit the Bridge to Careers Scholarship ApplicationThe goals of the program include expanding the variety of perspectives and life experiences among students pursuing a high-demand career in one of the fields noted in the section below. You will also get:
eligibility for scholarships to cover your tuition, books, fees, and materials
(The scholarship only covers in-state tuition rates, so if you are out-of-state and receive the scholarship, you would still need to pay the remaining tuition cost after the scholarship is applied.)

career placement support services
Bridge to Careers will prepare you for jobs in the following high-demand career fields.
Training and educational opportunities range from short-term certificates to two-year degrees.
Transportation Systems (automotive, logistics, heavy equipment, and CDL/truck driving)
The total number of scholarships awarded per year depends on available funding.
working toward a degree, diploma, or certificate in the career areas listed in the previous section
If you receive a Bridge to Careers scholarship, you will need to do the following. You are also encouraged to work in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.
attend monthly career-focused workshops and academic check-ins
keep up at least a 2.0 GPA
